MAN marine engines

MAN Truck & Bus is the leading provider of large scale engines for marine propulsion. MAN Diesel engines can be found in 60% of all ships currently in use: exclusive yachts, catamarans, fishing boats, freight ships, push-boats, etc.

The performance of MAN engines will take your breath away. The most powerful among them, the 12 cylinder V-engine and its 1800 HP will satisfy even the most demanding clients.

Propulsion engines

As powerful and reliable engines for high-speed luxury yachts, passenger and industrial ships, pilot and patrol boats, the high-speed MAN Diesel engines prove just how good they are. They are compact, powerful and economical. For all that, they are environmentally friendly and comply with the IMO exhaust-gas regulations.

MAN marine Diesel engines offer all the benefits of cost-effective large-scale series production. They are manufactured ready to install and optimally fitted for any type of usage and operating conditions.

Upon request, they can also be delivered with the release certificate of renowned classification companies.

Of course, our programme also includes highly qualified advice about installation and expert service with centres throughout the world.

MAN Gold Standard

Shipyards and yacht owners profit from this quality certificate.

MAN Gold Standard® – our seal of quality is only awarded to privately used yachts which can prove that they meet the highest quality requirements in the installation and matching of MAN engine systems.
For the yacht owner this means more safety and an improved warranty:
Two years on the engine system from the first commissioning of the ship, and three additional years on defined engine components.

MMDS (MAN Monitoring & Diagnostic System)

The electronic engine control is integrated in the electronic diagnostic and monitoring system MMDS (MAN Monitoring and Diagnostic System), which also records general shipping reports and alarms.
Service technicians and yacht operators can obtain the information in an excellent screen quality on 6.3, 10 or 15 inch TFT displays. The monitoring system records all the MMDS_CMS_15_g[1] important engine-specific data such as the speed, oil pressure, boost pressure and charge-air temperature and the level and temperature of the coolant.
In addition the system indicates the contents of the tank and the speed, calculates the consumption values and the relevant operating range. To ensure optimal safety on board MMDS intervenes in operating conditions, which put the engine at risk and automatically reduces the engine speed.
